Temporary Parking Permits

Temporary Parking - Capitol Mall

Long-term permits are available for one, two, or three months at a time. There is a fee of $5 per month for long-term permits, and they are valid in any general Capitol Mall parking area. These are available to employees of temporary service companies (such as ProPeople), to employees of a company that is providing a service to Capitol Mall employees, or to temporary State employees such as Legislative Attaches.

Possession of a permit does not guarantee availability of a parking space.

PLEASE NOTE! Visitor Parking Permits

Effective the Monday following the 2009 Legislative session, Capitol Mall Parking will no longer issue Capitol Mall "visitor parking" permits.

There are two visitor parking lots on the Mall. One is located at 6th & Washington Streets and the other is located on the south side of the Idaho State Library parking lot at 4th & State Streets (see the map). Both lots are available for all-day visitor parking without a permit. These spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis. Visitors driving a State vehicle to a Capitol Mall event can park in a State vehicle designated space on the 4th floor of the Capitol Mall Parking Garage. Please note: The top floor of the Parking Garage will no longer be available to Capitol Mall visitors.
