A Capitol Complex "state employee carpool vehicle" is specifically defined as: any vehicle that carries, on a daily basis, at least two (2) Capitol Complex employees. Capitol Complex employees are those that are employed by an agency occupying a Capitol Mall building controlled and operated by Facilities Services, specifically excluding the State Insurance Fund and all agencies located at the building at Third and Main Streets in Boise.
The carpool space that we'll set aside for you is the only place your carpool is permitted to park, displaying the appropriate reserved parking tag. The carpool tag does not permit parking in any other parking space.
At least two Capitol Complex employees must be in the carpool vehicle when it parks in the designated space. If one person is gone from the carpool for some reason, the vehicle must park in a different space. No, that's not a negotiable feature, and if you park in a carpool space with one occupant you may lose the carpool space altogether. You can keep your general parking tag as a backup for these circumstances if you want.
Facilities Services reserves the right to move or remove carpool spaces should circumstances require it. A reasonable attempt will be made to notify you of any such change before it occurs. If and when you are issued a free reserved space, it's a "forever, for now" arrangement, and does not constitute any particular parking agreement for the future.
After you send your application, we'll review it and find a space for you based on your request. We'll let you know as soon as it's ready, and arrange to get you the necessary parking tags. This process can take up to two weeks, but typically takes only a few days.
If you need help deciding where you'd like to have your space, this map of Capitol Mall parking spaces may help.
Applicant #1 will be considered the primary contact person for the carpool, and all pertinent communications will be directed to that person.
First, read the section above. You will be held liable for everything stated in that section if you are assigned a carpool space.

Make sure you are entering all license number(s) correctly and completely - if there is a 1A in front of a license number, include that. The number(s) you enter will be checked with the Department of Transportation to make sure they're valid, and if they're wrong it'll just take that much longer to get you set up.
